Role Description The Headmaster for the Chesapeake Campus will provide overall leadership and direction for the Chesapeake VA campus, ensuring alignment with the academy’s mission, values, and academic standards. This full-time, on-site role includes overseeing daily school operations, supervising and supporting faculty and staff, and fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. The Headmaster will guide curriculum implementation, monitor instructional quality, and collaborate with teachers to promote effective pedagogy and student success. Responsibilities also include building strong relationships with families, managing enrollment and community outreach, and coordinating with the broader Veritas Collegiate Academy leadership team on strategic planning and school improvement initiatives. The Headmaster is expected to model professional integrity, support a culture of continuous improvement, and serve as a visible, approachable campus leader. Qualifications Strong foundation in Education and Pedagogy, with the ability to support effective teaching practices and student-centered learning. Demonstrated experience in Educational Leadership, including leading faculty teams, managing school operations, and implementing school-wide initiatives. Proficiency in Curriculum Development, with the ability to align programs to academic standards and the school’s mission. Excellent communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with students, families, faculty, and community stakeholders. Relevant master’s degree or higher in education, educational leadership, or a closely related field preferred. Experience in K–12 school administration or comparable leadership role, ideally in an independent or private school setting. Ability to make data‑informed decisions, manage budgets responsibly, and maintain compliance with applicable educational policies and regulations.
