Preoperative Registered Nurse

Job Summary HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Preoperative Registered Nurse to provide safe, high‑quality nursing care in the post‑anesthesia period. Responsibilities Care for and manage surgical patients in the post‑anesthesia period. Apply nursing process, critical thinking, scientific judgment, technical skills, and leadership to deliver safe nursing care independently. Collaborate with the patient‑care team to achieve quality patient outcomes. Provide communication, confidence, and professionalism through engagement in unit and organizational activities. Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the patient‑care team. Accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and promoting a positive image of nursing. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. Current RN license in Texas or Multi‑State Compact license (employees with RN Compact must obtain Texas RN license within 90 days of hire). Current BLS and ACLS certifications. 1 year of pre‑op clinical experience as an RN is highly preferred; critical‑care RN experience in an acute‑care setting will be considered.
