Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a cancer hospital OR requiring 3+ years of multi-service scrub/circulate experience and EPIC proficiency.

Details

Day/evening rotating schedule combining 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts totaling 40 hrs/week
Call and weekend coverage required as needed
Monday to Friday scheduling with rotating shift lengths
EPIC EMR experience required
Scrubs and circulates across multiple surgical specialties

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience required (hard requirement)
BLS certification required
License required if applicable
Circulate and scrub experience required
EPIC charting system experience required
Proficiency required in robotic surgery, neurosurgery, thoracic surgery, and ENT procedures
Experience required across multiple services including ENT/Plastics (flaps/microvascular), endoscopic procedures (bronch/EGD/EBUS/LS), neuro (craniotomy/EEA/skull base), thoracic, and robotics
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred

Additional Information

Scrub in for a wide variety of services including surgical oncology, thoracic, colorectal, urology, GYN oncology, head & neck/ENT, neuro, ortho, plastics/reconstructive, and robotics
Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Local candidates accepted at the same rate
Former employees eligible for a travel assignment once away from the facility for 6 months or more
Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at this health system
RTO must be submitted with the contract and built in, limited to 7 days or less
Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager/director or supervisor; charge RN acceptable as second reference; coworker references not accepted
Fingerprinting must be completed urgently upon signing contract due to Ohio state requirements
First-time travelers are not considered for this role
