We are seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to drive manufacturing efficiency, optimize workflows and advance continuous improvement across our operations. This role will focus on process analysis, layout optimization, and the implementation of lean methodologies to enhance productivity and performance.

What You Will Do:

• Analyze production workflows, facility layouts, and equipment utilization to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize labor standards, routings, and work instructions.
• Conduct time studies, capacity analyses, line balancing, and ergonomic assessments.
• Identify waste, non-value-added activities, and improvement opportunities; implement corrective actions.
• Create and maintain value stream maps, process flow diagrams, and standard work documentation.
• Lead employee training and mentor team members on process improvements and standard work.
• Design and optimize factory layouts using DraftSight or AutoCAD to enhance production flow.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean principles and methodologies.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations with a minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience may be acceptable

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Certification or practical knowledge in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and process optimization principles
• Proficiency in DraftSight, AutoCAD, or equivalent software
• Manufacturing experience
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and data-driven decision-making skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across functions

Onsite:

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
