Burn ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Night shifts, 3x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:00)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Burn ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in burn patient management, including the use of vasopressor medications, sedation, and ventilator management for both adults and children.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients with acute burn injuries, including various treatment protocols.
• Administer medications and manage sedation, ensuring correct dosing and monitoring.
• Operate and maintain ventilators and arterial lines, along with managing chronic and acute renal failure cases.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and implement care plans to address the patient's needs.
• Conduct extensive dressing changes with moderate or deep sedation.
• Float to competent units as necessary during low census periods.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Active Ohio nursing license in hand.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant RN experience, ideally in a burn or critical care setting.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required; TNCC preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred but not mandatory.
• Must be willing to float to other units as required.
