Senior Director, Product Management

- Own the end-to-end product vision, strategy, and roadmap for global Medical Affairs AI/digital products
- Serve as implementation lead for developing global products and report progress to Air Traffic Control
- Translate enterprise and Medical Affairs priorities into product strategies, value hypotheses, target outcomes, and success metrics
- Evaluate therapeutic area, market, and regulatory trends to keep roadmaps current
- Collaborate with Commercial product leads to define integration points
- Serve as primary product contact for senior stakeholders across global Medical Affairs, Oncology, International, and adjacent functions
- Elicit, synthesize, and translate ambiguous or conflicting business needs into product, feature, and technical requirements
- Facilitate prioritization and trade-off discussions among VP/SVP-level stakeholders and make final prioritization calls when needed
- Define product and technical requirements, acceptance criteria, and success measures with UX, architecture, and engineering
- Own and groom the product backlog and roadmap
- Partner with Solution Architecture and Engineering on scalable, compliant feature designs
- Lead products through discovery, experimentation, pilot, MVP, enterprise scale, and sustained operation
- Track adoption, business value, and ROI metrics post-launch to inform roadmap and investment decisions
- Manage data privacy, MLR/regulatory review, EU AI Act, HTA, risk, compliance, and change-control considerations
- Direct the work of Product Managers, Engineers, UX Designers, and Program Delivery Leads without formal reporting authority
- Represent the product in portfolio governance forums with status, risk, and prioritization recommendations
- Mentor and develop product talent within the Medical AI Acceleration and Delivery team
Requirements
- 12+ years of progressive experience in product management/product ownership
- At least 4-5 years operating at a senior/director level owning products end-to-end
- Experience translating enterprise or life-sciences business strategy into product roadmaps and requirements at scale
- Experience translating business needs into AI based technical solutions that have successfully scaled globally
- Proven track record managing senior (VP/SVP-level) stakeholder relationships and driving prioritization decisions across competing interests
- Experience with agile/iterative delivery frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, or equivalent)
- Experience with modern product management practice, including discovery, experimentation, MVP, and outcome-based roadmapping
- Pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other regulated-industry experience strongly preferred
- Medical Affairs domain knowledge a significant plus
- Experience with AI/ML-enabled products and understanding of responsible AI, data governance, and emerging AI regulation preferred
- Bachelor's degree required
- Ability to travel to Pfizer offices, vendor offices, and other team meeting locations when required
- Ability to work during off-hours when needed to coordinate with global stakeholders
- Must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
- Permanent work authorization in the United States required
- U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
