Job Overview Seeking an additional BE/BC Neuro-Ophthalmologist to join established Neurosciences Institute in Urbana, Illinois. Qualifications BE/BC in Neurology or Ophthalmology with additional fellowship training in Neuro-Ophthalmology Strong referral base with little local competition Experience with comprehensive medical and surgical services for brain and spine disorders Practice Details Service area of over 2 million in the Central and Southern Illinois regions Single hospital with strong hospitalist, neurohospitalist, neuro-intensive care, neuroradiology, advanced neuroimaging, emergency medicine, cardiology, and cardiothoracic support Department consists of 5 Ophthalmologists, 5 Optometrists, 1 Low Vision specialist, 5 ABOC Opticians and a dedicated Eye EMR support team; includes specialty areas such as Vitreoretinal Surgery, Medical Retina, Cornea, and Pediatric Ophthalmology Practice will be at a newly built clinic facility; surgeries performed at our new 23,000 square-foot ASC facility in Champaign State-of-the-art equipment including 2 Zeiss IOLmaster 700, 2 Humphrey Visual Fields, 4 Heidelberg OCTs (FA, ICG & OCT‑A), Cirrus OCT, Accutome UBM, A‑scan & B‑scan, Intraoperative OCT, Zeiss Lumera 700 microscopes, Alcon Centurion, Callisto Eye System, Lumenis Selecta II SLT laser, Zeiss Yag Visulas III laser, Lumenis Vision One laser, and Iridex Micropulse Laser Neurosciences team includes Neurology (adult & pediatric), Epileptology and EMU, Vascular Neurology & Neurointerventional (Comprehensive Stroke Center), Neuro‑critical care, Neuro‑radiology, Neuro‑otology, Neuro‑ophthalmology, Neuro‑rehabilitation, Neuro‑psychology, Pain management program and Sleep medicine program Collaborative opportunities for national neuroscience translational research projects and opportunity for faculty appointment Opportunity to teach Neurology residents through our accredited residency program and medical students Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation in addition to sign‑on bonus and excellent benefits including health, dental, life, LTD insurance, paid malpractice insurance with full tail coverage, relocation assistance and vacation time Compensation range: $350,000 – $360,000 #J-18808-Ljbffr
