Responsibilities Perform and analyze patient x‑rays, applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of urgent care centers. Support medical providers, assistants and patients with care management, organization, and communication. Prepare patients for examination, conduct interviews to verify patient information, and record medical history. Perform preliminary physical tests and vital signs; conduct point‑of‑care testing as needed. Maintain and scan medical records into patient files; conduct follow‑up calls. Perform daily controls and calibration of equipment, maintain QA/QC logs, troubleshoot breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and submit repair tickets. Collaborate with providers to determine appropriate procedures or views for accurate diagnoses. Explain procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and safety. Accurately position patients and equipment for optimal imaging results. Adjust radiographic controls to capture clear, high‑quality diagnostic images. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of X‑ray equipment; manage necessary supplies. Adhere to radiation safety protocols and implement ALARA to minimize exposure. Maintain accurate patient records and log completed procedures in electronic systems. Verify image quality and ensure images are sent to radiologists for interpretation. Qualifications Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program. High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience in a clinical setting preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire, obtained through ARC or AHA. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required. Applicable state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required. Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of X‑ray procedures, protocols, anatomy, physiology, body mechanics, and radiology equipment safety hazards. Ability to position patients properly, identify and correct equipment problems, and follow infection control and radiological safety procedures. Proficiency in image quality assessment and collaboration with the medical team. Strong communication and administrative support skills. Note: This job description is not inclusive of all duties.
