Embedded Firmware PHY Software Engineer

Responsibilities Build AI infrastructure, working on groundbreaking technology for next-generation AI infrastructure. Debug, analyze, and solve PHY‑layer issues on NVIDIA networking devices, enhancing performance and reliability. Collaborate with application teams to support customers and resolve critical technical issues. Work with architecture, HW, and SW build teams to isolate and solve complex, multi‑layered problems. Debug and triage complex HW/FW/SW issues across the stack. Participate in silicon bring‑up and software development phases. Lead data‑driven discussions on product functionality, customer difficulties, and improvement opportunities. Qualifications B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of relevant embedded engineering experience and a strong software development focus. Proven customer‑facing experience investigating, managing, and resolving direct customer issues. Proficient in C/C++ with strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for embedded firmware. Ability to manage interrupts and work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and ability to collaborate with international teams. Preferred Skills Proficient in Python and data analysis. Good understanding of SerDes operation. Experience developing the physical layer of communication protocols. Deep knowledge of the hardware/software development process. Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills, able to influence both internal teams and external customers. Compensation & Benefits Your base salary will be determined based on location, experience, and comparable positions. The base salary range is 152,000 USD – 241,500 USD for Level 3, and 184,000 USD – 287,500 USD for Level 4. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
