Quality Control Associate

**Position Summary**  

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Associate to ensure that machined and fabricated parts meet required specifications, drawings, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong blueprint-reading skills, hands-on experience with precision measuring equipment, and knowledge of welding symbols and common weld defects.

 

### Key Responsibilities

 

- Read and interpret comprehensive engineering and fabrication drawings.

- Inspect machined and fabricated parts for dimensional accuracy and conformance to specifications.

- Use precision measuring equipment, including:

- Calipers

- Micrometers

- Height gauges

- Other inspection and measuring tools

- Verify parts meet drawing requirements, tolerances, and quality standards.

- Interpret weld symbols and inspect welds for compliance with specifications.

- Identify common weld defects and report nonconforming conditions.

- Document inspection results accurately and communicate quality issues to the appropriate personnel.

- Support corrective actions and continuous quality-improvement efforts.

 

### Required Qualifications

 

- Ability to read and understand detailed engineering, machine, and fabrication drawings.

- Experience inspecting machined and fabricated parts.

- Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and related measuring equipment.

- Knowledge of standard weld symbols and common weld defects.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with production and quality teams.

 

### Preferred Qualifications

 

- Previous experience in a manufacturing, machining, or metal fabrication environment.

- Experience with inspection documentation and nonconformance reporting.

- Familiarity with quality standards, tolerances, and inspection procedures.
