Job Summary And Qualifications The Cardiovascular Sonographer is a highly skilled individual qualified by academic and clinical experience to produce and evaluate ultrasound images. What qualifications you will need: High School Graduate / GED Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date (RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or (RDCS‑AE) RDCS Adult Echocardiography, or (RDCS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or (RCS) Registered Cardiac Sonographer, or (RVT) Registered Vascular Technician, or (RVS) Registered Vascular Specialist Associate degree or Bachelor degree from an accredited school for Sonography Minimum of 2‑3 years of experience performing routine echocardiology exams (e.g., 2‑D, M‑Mode, Color Flow, Spectral Doppler). Transesophageal echo (TEE). 5 years of more experience preferred.
