Assistant Store Manager

Pay Range and Compensation Pay Range: $15.50 – $21.50 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums which may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Responsibilities Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom and ensure team members execute customer service programs. Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak business hours. Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching and mentoring team members, and ensuring team members stay current on their individual training. Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to select qualified team members. Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy. Ensure all buy online/ship to store, hub to store transfers, and DC add orders are processed in a timely manner and customers are contacted upon shipment arrivals as needed. Utilize the electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure. Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently, issue refunds accurately using correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise correctly. Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned. Ensure team members comply with company policies, including posted work schedule, approval processes, and correct clock‑in/out procedures. Perform all store opening and closing duties, including day‑end procedures, securing money, preparing bank deposits, ensuring security lights are on, locking doors, arming/disarming security alarms, and securing delivery vehicles. Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage and lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles. Perform all other duties as assigned. Required Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, & Abilities Sales Specialist Training Assistant Manager Certification RSS Certification Desired Certifications Certified Parts Professional Certification ASE Certification Language Fluency Fluency in multiple languages is preferred; Spanish is highly desired.
