• Case Mix: General surgery, OB (including TOLAC), healthy pediatrics (tonsils/adenoids), conscious sedation; no cardiac or neurosurgery

FACILITY INFORMATION

• No. of Beds in Department: 13 OR Rooms
• Trauma Level: Level III
• EMR System: Epic
• Support Staff Available: 6 physicians, 2 CRNAs

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• General anesthesia
• OB anesthesia (including TOLAC)
• Pediatric anesthesia (healthy, tonsils/adenoids)
• Conscious sedation

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board: Board Certified in Anesthesiology (not accepting Board Eligible)
• Licenses: Active Iowa license or Universal License (IMLC)
• Certifications: ACLS (can obtain during credentialing)
• Other Qualifications: Availability for 2 weeks per month; must be available for weeks of Nov 23 and Dec 21; COVID vaccine required; call required; clean malpractice/background (no settled or pending cases)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor patient care before and during surgery
• Administer general, OB, pediatric, and conscious sedation anesthesia
• Supervise CRNAs as needed
• Participate in night and weekend call rotations
• Document patient encounters in Epic EMR
