Operating Room Nurse - DaysLocation: Glens Falls, NYAssignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.Schedule: Days, 8 hours, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PMJob Description: The Operating Room Nurse will provide essential surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing the nursing care patients receive before, during, and after surgery. A strong focus on maintaining a sterile and safe surgical environment and patient education will be key responsibilities.ResponsibilitiesConduct patient assessments and maintain a sterile environment.Deliver pre and post-operative patient education.Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being during the surgical process.Coordinate patient care throughout the surgical care continuum.Participate in all surgical specialties except cardiac and ophthalmology.Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure2+ years of current Operating Room experience.Float experience to vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotic, urology, and ENT is required.Travel experience is needed.EPIC experience is mandatory.Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.Experience in both scrub and circulating roles is required.Candidate must possess a valid New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate.MUST be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
