Research Data Support Specialist II

Position Overview A Research Data Support Specialist position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Koenraad Van Doorslaer to work in the field of regenerative medicine and transplantation immunology. The successful candidate will perform pluripotent stem cell and genetic manipulation experiments in a collaborative lab environment. Duties & Responsibilities Perform routine scientific data collection and processing for assigned research projects, applying established methods to record and organize results for the PI. Record information and maintain detailed records of experimental procedures and data to assist with planning and analyzing results for presentation purposes. Provide data to PI for use in grant submissions and publications. Compile data and generate computerized statistical data for analytical purposes using software packages; make preliminary analyses and assist researchers in interpreting the data. Acquire specialized parts, materials, equipment, and services for laboratory operations and manage inventory. Maintain bookkeeping records. Organizational and time management skills are essential to balance both laboratory maintenance duties and experimental research projects. Additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Preferred Qualifications FLSA Non-Exempt Full Time 40 hours per week Job FTE 1.
