Description: Our Louisville client is seeking a 1st shift Service Technician.
Position Summary
As a service technician, you'll be responsible for inspecting and maintaining mechanical equipment, handling work order requests, and performing general maintenance tasks. Key qualifications include knowledge of maintenance, basic repair skills, and a valid driver's license.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Outline Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and Repair: Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural issues.
- Maintenance Scheduling: Coordinate maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors if needed.
Education/Experience
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Must have previous experience repairing refuse equipment.
Refuse Mechanic: Previous experience (Required).
Maintenance: Electrical, mechanical, and welding experience.
Physical Requirements
Must have the physical ability to perform assigned duties safely and efficiently. Good eyesight for detecting differences in textures and colors. Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
Schedule/Pay
Mon-Fri 7:00am-4:00pm occasional Saturdays. $18-$35/hr based on experience.
