Riverside Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and skilled Neurologist to join our team at Riverside Neurology Specialists in Smithfield, Virginia.

This exciting opportunity is based in a state-of-the-art medical office building adjacent to the new Riverside Smithfield Hospital, opening in January 2026.

This position is primarily outpatient, with some inpatient coverage responsibilities, and is part of Riverside's expanding Comprehensive Neuroscience Program, which serves multiple regions including Williamsburg, Middle Peninsula, Peninsula, Eastern Shoreand now Smithfield.

In This Role

You'll join a team of board-certified neurologists, many of whom are fellowship-trained or have advanced specialty training. You'll have access to cutting-edge tools and a collaborative, multi-specialty environment.

Diagnostic Capabilities:

• EMGs/EEGs
• Sleep Studies

Technology & Tools:

• Neurorehabilitation
• Telemedicine for acute stroke alerts

Conditions Treated Include:

• Memory disorders
• Stroke
• Seizure disorders & epilepsy
• ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease)
• Multiple sclerosis
• Headache & migraine disorders
• Movement disorders
• Sleep disorders
• Parkinson's disease & essential tremors
• Alzheimer's disease & dementia
• Degenerative diseases
• Peripheral nerve disorders
• Genetic conditions (e.g., Huntington's disease, muscular dystrophy)

Qualifications

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)

Licensure & Certification:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
• Licensed to practice medicine in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
• Valid DEA registration
