Accounting Specialist

The Accounting Specialist position works in a Finance Department of three employees and reports directly to the Finance Manager. The role handles accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll for the City of Randleman, and provides customer service for the collection of utility payments. Responsibilities Process accounts payable and receivable for the City of Randleman. Process payroll for City employees. Provide customer service and assistance with collection of utility payments. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required. Prior experience with accounts payable and payroll is recommended. Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to learning and development within a municipal organization. Employment Terms Full-time position, 100% in-office (no remote or hybrid option). Works Monday‑Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Position is non‑exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Benefits Salary range: $61,239.11 – $91,858.69. Anticipated hiring rate: $61,239.11 – $65,000.00.
