If you’re looking to lead a highly visible, fast-moving, and exceptionally talented team at the intersection of cutting-edge research and real-world impact—and have fun while doing it—Notifications AI is the place for you!Responsibilities: This is a Senior Technical Lead who will strategize, drive, and execute next generation AI solutions for our Notifications AI team, partnering closely with many other teams and providing technical/thought leadership for a group of 10-20 engineers. Responsible for leading a team of scientists and machine learning engineers that build and own personalization algorithms, models, and systems.Provide significant contributions to the team’s core modeling efforts and mid/long term directionAs a hands-on tech lead, you are expected to actively participate in key technical and design discussions with technical leads in the team, and also contribute to coding and modeling efforts. Collaborate with platform engineering, product, data science and partner teams to design machine learning solutions to power Network Growth ecosystem and optimize member experience.Operate best engineering and scientific practices & processes to ensure productivity of the team and drive faster iterations via A/B experiments.Work with peers across teams to support and leverage a shared technical stack.Coach the team to produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration.QualificationsBasic Qualifications:2+ years of experience as a Technical Lead5+ years of overall industry experience in AI / Machine Learning Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related technical discipline or equivalent practical experiencePreferred Qualifications: 10+ years of industry experience.4+ years of technical leadership (Staff+) experience, including recent experience at the Senior Staff / L7 / Principal Engineer level. Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, or a related discipline.Prior experience with large scale ML data infrastructureExperience with developing and designing production scale recommender system products.Published work in academic conferences or industry circles. The pay range for this role is $191,000 - $315,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
