As a Security Officer Part Time Medical Reception in Rockville, MD , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.09 / Hour

DayTimeMon07:30 AM - 06:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and security-related policies at a government location.
• Operate the front desk by greeting visitors, verifying identification and appointments, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals to appropriate offices or services.
• Monitor entry activity, visitor logs, cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems, reporting unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, visitor records, and incident documentation while providing clear communication to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• At least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
