Role Description The Maintenance Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Junction City, KS, responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance operations for assigned apartment communities. This position coordinates and performs routine and emergency repairs, conducts inspections, and ensures preventive maintenance schedules are followed for building systems, equipment, and grounds. The Maintenance Supervisor leads and trains maintenance team members, assigns work orders, monitors completion, and maintains a safe working environment that complies with company policies and local regulations. The role also involves collaborating with property management on unit turns, vendor coordination, inventory control, and resident service requests, while promoting high standards of customer service and responsiveness. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, task delegation, and performance oversight. Candidates should possess equipment maintenance skills, including basic knowledge of mechanical systems and the safe use of tools and materials. Candidates should possess preventive maintenance skills, including scheduling, inspection, and documentation of building systems and components. Candidates should possess maintenance and repair skills for common apartment systems such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general carpentry. Candidates should possess troubleshooting skills to diagnose issues efficiently and implement effective repair solutions. Relevant qualifications include prior residential or commercial property maintenance experience, familiarity with safety and building codes, and the ability to read and follow work orders and technical instructions. Additional beneficial qualifications include a valid driver’s license, availability for on-call rotation, basic computer skills for maintenance software, and certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical trades.
