Endoscopy NurseWeekend Requirements: As Needed | Work Hours: 0715-1545 | Status: Full Time - 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) | Entity: Owensboro Health Regional Hospital | Department: EndoscopyJob Summary:Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.Job Responsibilities:Performs functions related to problem definition, data collection, interpretation and analysisImplements and monitors patient care plansMonitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriateServes as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient careNotes and carries out physician and nursing ordersAssesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with patient/family and members of the healthcare teamAssesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on age, culture, and willingness to learnPerforms job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice ActSkills and Attributes:Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgmentWorks under general supervisionMust be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actionApplies more advanced skills and knowledge in the area of specializationPosition Requirements:Work ExperienceNo experience requiredEducationAssociate's degree or higher or Diploma in Nursing required upon hire ANDBachelor's degree or higher in Nursing required within 5 years of employment in this positionLicensure/Certification/RegistrationRN - Licensed as a Registered Nurse. Eligible to practice nursing in the State of Kentucky required upon hire ANDBLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 45 days of employment in this position ANDACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Healthcare Provider through American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS - Advanced Life Support Healthcare Provider through American Red Cross (ARC) required within 12 months of employment in this positionOrganizational Responsibilities:Supports Owensboro Health's Mission, Vision, Core Commitments, and business interests.
