The anticipated closing date of this job post is 10/30/2026.Stolle Machinery is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Supervisor to lead inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and material control processes at our Centennial location. This role is responsible for supervising Inventory Control Technicians, maintaining inventory integrity across a high-mix manufacturing environment, and partnering closely with Production, Quality, Purchasing, Finance, Receiving, and Shipping to ensure accurate material movement and availability.The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong inventory control experience, solid ERP skills, and the ability to investigate discrepancies, improve processes, and support audit-ready inventory practices. This position plays a key role in protecting company assets, supporting production flow, and driving continuous improvement in inventory accuracy, reporting, and warehouse organization.JOB SUMMARY (the purpose and general nature of the job): The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and governance of inventory across a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing operation with approximately 70,000 SKUs and $40–60 million in inventory value. This role provides direct supervision of Inventory Control Technicians and serves as the process owner for inventory control systems, policies, and metrics.The Supervisor ensures inventory accuracy through disciplined cycle counting, robust discrepancy investigation, and tight integration with receiving, production, quality, purchasing, and finance functions. This position plays a critical role in protecting company assets, enabling production flow, and supporting financial accuracy in compliance with internal controls and ISO 9001 requirements.PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following:LEADERSHIP & SUPERVISIONSupervise, train, and develop Inventory Control Technicians, including task prioritization, performance feedback, and skills progression.Establish and maintain standardized work instructions, training materials, and competency requirements for inventory control personnel.Serve as the escalation point for complex inventory discrepancies and cross-functional conflicts.Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the inventory control function.INVENTORY ACCURACY & CONTROLOwn the cycle count program, including ABC classification strategy, count frequency, tolerances, and reconciliation rules.Ensure timely execution of scheduled and ad-hoc cycle counts across raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventories.Review, approve, and document inventory adjustments in accordance with internal control and audit requirements.Lead root cause investigations into inventory variances, including transaction errors, process gaps, and systemic issues.ERP & DATA INTEGRITYSupport production teams to ensure accurate and timely material movements (receipts, issues, transfers, returns, scrap) are recorded in the ERP system.Partner with IT, Finance, and Operations to test, validate, and implement ERP changes affecting inventory processes.Develop and maintain inventory dashboards, reports, and KPIs for leadership review.CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATIONCoordinate closely with Receiving, Production, Shipping, Quality, and Purchasing to ensure alignment on material status and disposition.Work with Quality and Purchasing to quarantine, disposition, return, or scrap nonconforming material in accordance with procedures.Support production planning and execution by ensuring material availability and accurate inventory visibility.Partner with Finance during month-end close and annual physical inventory to ensure valuation accuracy and audit readiness.CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT & RISK REDUCTIONAssist in organizing warehouse storage areas for optimal space utilization and part accessibility.Identify opportunities to reduce inventory discrepancies, write-offs, excess, and obsolete material.Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse layout, material flow, labeling, and transaction discipline.Develop preventive controls to reduce repeat discrepancies and improve first-pass accuracy.Support internal and external audits related to inventory and material controls.PHYSICAL INVENTORY & AUDIT SUPPORTPlan, coordinate, and execute annual physical inventory events, including staffing, scheduling, training, and reconciliation.Ensure documentation and evidence are maintained to support internal controls, ISO 9001, and financial audit requirements.Respond to audit findings with corrective actions and sustained improvements.KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: Minimal requirements for education, knowledge and experience:REQUIRED:High school diploma or equivalent5+ years of experience in inventory control, materials management, or warehouse operations.Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or equivalent) and Microsoft Office tools.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to read engineering drawings and understand part numbering conventions.PREFERRED:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field or equivalent supervisory experience.Experience in a manufacturing environment with ISO 9001-compliant systems.Experience in high-mix, low-volume or engineer-to-order manufacturing environments.Familiarity with ABC inventory classification, cycle counting programs, and root cause analysis methods.Proficiency with the IFS ERP systemFamiliarity with inventory valuation methods and financial close processes.Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement training.PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: This position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching in a warehouse environment.Ability to work in varied conditions, including hot, cold, or dusty environments.PERFORMANCE METRICSInventory accuracy (target ≥ 98%).Cycle count schedule adherence.Inventory adjustment value as a percentage of total inventory.Root cause closure rate and recurrence reduction.Audit findings related to inventory controls.Technician performance, training completion, and retention.DisclaimerThis position description is intended to provide a general overview of the responsibilities, duties, qualifications, physical demands, and working conditions associated with the role.
