About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in San Antonio, Texas, 78236!

• Provide direct patient care in a Surgical ICU setting, managing critically ill patients with complex, high-acuity needs
• Perform and assist with procedures including chest tubes, intubations, central lines, arterial lines, NG tubes, Foley catheters, and dressing changes
• Utilize strong critical thinking skills to assess, plan, and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic health record system
• Float to other units as required in accordance with facility floating policy
• Adhere to facility punctuality, badging, and attendance policies, including a required 30-minute lunch break

• Active Texas RN License required - temporary licenses will not be accepted
• Minimum 2-3 years of ICU experience
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Certification required

• MICU or MSICU background
• Experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
• Exposure to Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
• Prior experience with Meditech documentation system

• Opportunity to work in a high-acuity surgical ICU environment within a well-established, nationally recognized medical center
• Gain experience in a facility offering a broad range of specialty services including cardiology, neurosciences, oncology, and more
