Software Quality Engineer Associate

Overview Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full‑time Software Quality Engineer Associate to support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP). The role focuses on requirements analysis, object‑oriented analysis & design, coding, unit testing, integration, and formal test/delivery support for missile defense technology. Responsibilities Support the software engineering lifecycle as described above and collaborate with development teams to ensure quality and compliance with security standards. Basic Qualifications Current US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance Knowledge of quality systems/processes and external quality standards Knowledge of software development life cycle models Ability to interpret software design and code to verify the implementation of requirements Desired Skills Read/write code in C, C++, and/or Java Knowledge of configuration management and control tools (e.g., Git, ClearQuest, ClearCase, DOORS) Technical knowledge in related disciplines such as Quality Engineering, System Safety, Engineering, Manufacturing, Integration & Test Experience supporting Agile/Scrum software development Knowledge of test planning, processing, and addressing nonconformance including root cause analysis and corrective action development Knowledge of establishing quality assurance performance metrics for identifying process improvement Some travel may be required for program objectives Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Ability to work off‑shifts and weekends as needed Security Clearance This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Final Secret clearance.
