Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit / Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of experience required, including travel experience License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Ability to float to different floors or campuses as needed - Must reside 150 miles or more from the facility - Nursing experience with a broad range of medical conditions Description: Registered Nurses deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process. Nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Nurses effectively interact with patients and visitors while maintaining the standard of professional nursing. Registered Nurses provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. Due to the broad range of medical conditions encountered, nurses must be well-versed in a large variety of health conditions. Travelers must have two years of experience in the service line. The facility conducts a mandatory drug screen upon arrival, including testing for marijuana, which may affect clearance. Travelers should avoid any substances that could result in a positive drug screen upon arrival, including CBD products. Pre-approved time off is limited. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. The daily census on the unit is approximately 30 patients. The unit consists of 33 beds. Registered Nurses will work with an interdisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care.
