Hybrid Roadway & Bridge CEI Inspector - FDOT Experience

What You Will Do: Our Treasure Coast ConstructionTeam is looking for a CEIInspectorwith FDOTExperience forourConstruction Management and Construction Engineering Inspection group in thePort St. Lucie,FL area. ThisPositionwill work in the Treasure Coast, Palm Beach, and Okeechobee, Florida areas. Whatyou'llbe challenged to do: This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced candidate with a minimum of2years' Inspection experience inCEI Roadway & Bridge Construction, transportation facilities, and/or infrastructure,with 1 year of which shall have been in bridge and or roadway constructionto join a collaborative team environment. This role inspects and overseesCEIroad & bridgeconstruction work to ensure that results,proceduresand materialscomply withplans and specifications. This role will serve as a dailyinspectorforall aspects ofroad& bridge constructionincluding construction observations, materialtestinganddocumenting work activity. In this capacity, the successful candidate willbe responsible forthe following: Measure distances to verify accuracy of dimensions ofroad and bridge construction. Wo rking with other inspectorson a daily basis. Verify levels, alignment, and elevation of installations. Prepare samples of materials for laboratory testing. Examine and approve workmanship of finished installations for conformity to client standard s . Interpret plans , specifications , and discuss with the Contractor deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure compliance with regulations governing construction. Record quantities of materials received or used during specified periods, develop pay estimates , and change orders. Maintain daily log s of construction and inspection activities and compare progress reports. Monitor several types of workactivi ties . Have an understanding of construction safety practices and work methods for compliance . Manage documents using electronic platforms such as Microsoft Office,Bluebeam,MAC, andPrC. Able to Work Nights and Weekends. Be able to lift 70 pounds. Education | Experience: Whatyou willbring to our firm: High school diploma. 2+ years progressive CEI experience in roadway or bridge A safety-first mindset. Strong writing, listening , and communication skills. Have obtained the following Qualifications: CTQP Final Estimates Level I CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II(Willing to take within the first year) CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II(Willing to take within the first year) CTQP Pile Driving Inspection(Willing to take within the first year) CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection Required for inspection of all drilled shafts including miscellaneous structures such as sign structures, lighting structures, and traffic signal structure foundations(Willing to take within the first year) FDOT Intermediate MOT IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level I(Willing to take within the first year) IMSA Traffic SignalInspectorLevel I(Willing to take within the first year) Nuclear Radiation Safety Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors A-19 Recommended when the scope of the project includes concrete pavement, grinding concrete pavement, or concrete pavement slab replacement. What we prefer you bring: A 4-year college engineering degree. An Engineering Intern Certificate. ACI Field Inspector Qualificationa nd Troxler Nuclear Density Guage Certification. Ability to work collaboratively with peers, clients , and contractors to solve problems and conflicts. Team Player mentality. Compensation: The salary range for this role is $26 - $32/hour.Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
