Plant Manager - Metal Fabrication & Machining Compensation: Competitive Salary + Executive Bonus + Full Benefits

Are you a proven Plant Manager with a passion for precision metal fabrication and operational excellence?

We supply high-grade metal components to industry leaders-and we're looking for an experienced Plant Manager to take full operational and P&L ownership of our primary facility.

Key Highlights of the Role:

• Full P&L Accountability: Manage budgets, scrap costs, labor efficiency, and facility KPIs.
• End-to-End Leadership: Oversee machining, welding, fabrication, finishing, and shipping.
• Continuous Improvement Focus: Drive Lean/Six Sigma practices to maximize yield, OEE, and safety standards (ISO 9001, OSHA).
• Team Development: Build, mentor, and empower a cross-functional team of supervisors, engineers, and technicians.

What You Need:

• 8+ years in manufacturing leadership (3+ years as Plant Manager or Operations Manager in metal fabrication/machining). technical background in CNC, welding, laser cutting, stamping, and ERP systems.
• Demonstrated experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies (Certification preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent hands-on leadership experience

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Operational Excellence & Production Leadership

Oversee daily facility operations across machining, fabrication, welding, finishing, and shipping/receiving departments.

Develop and execute production schedules to meet customer deadlines while minimizing scrap rates and idle time.

Direct maintenance schedules and capital expenditure (CapEx) initiatives to keep machinery operating at peak efficiency.

Safety, Health, & Environmental (EHS)

Champion a robust safety culture; enforce strict compliance with OSHA, EPA, and internal safety policies.

Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions to maintain a target of zero recordable incidents.

Quality Control & Process Improvement

Ensure strictly controlled operations adhering to ISO 9001 quality management standards.

Implement Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma strategies to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

Financial & P&L Management

Manage the plant's operational budget, controlling direct labor, overhead, raw material usage, and scrap costs.

Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including throughput, labor efficiency, yield, and on-time delivery rates (OTD).

Team Development & People Leadership

Mentor, train, and evaluate supervisors and department heads to build a high-performing production workforce.

Foster an inclusive, productive, and collaborative work culture that retains top technical and operational talent
