Job Full Description

Our client in Iowa City, IA is looking for a Forklift Operator!

Position Summary: Our client is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced electrical supply environment. This role is responsible for safely moving, loading, unloading, and organizing materials throughout the warehouse using a forklift. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with heavy materials, and committed to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials safely throughout the warehouse
Receive incoming shipments and place inventory in designated storage areas
Pull and stage customer orders accurately and efficiently
Assist with inventory counts and help maintain accurate records
Inspect forklift equipment daily and report maintenance concerns
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Work closely with team members to meet daily shipping and receiving deadlines

Qualifications:

Previous forklift operating experience required
Valid driver's license required
Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs regularly
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills
Ability to pass a background screen

Hours:

Monday - Friday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Saturday: 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Pay:

$18.00/hour
