Pathology: Surgical, Weill Cornell Medicine, Brooklyn

The Department of Pathology at Weill Cornell Medicine in partnership with NewYork‑Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking a full‑time Surgical Pathologist certified in AP or AP & CP by the American Board of Pathology for our campus in Park Slope, Brooklyn. A minimum of two years of independent sign‑out experience is required. Fellowship training or significant experience in surgical pathology subspecialty areas such as GYN, GI, GU, or Breast is favored. The selected candidate will be an employee of Weill Cornell Medicine and hold an academic appointment at Weill Cornell Medical College. Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and credentials. Responsibilities The surgical pathology service at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is staffed with 7 pathologists, 4 PAs, 2 managers, and 14 histology/cytology technicians. The candidate will provide general surgical pathology service with a focus on subspecialty areas, perform frozen section consultations, cover night and weekend surgical pathology call, attend tumor board meetings, and perform other routine hospital‑based duties. Qualifications Board certified in AP or AP & CP by the American Board of Pathology. Minimum of two years independent sign‑out experience. Fellowship training or substantial experience in at least one surgical pathology subspecialty (GYN, GI, GU, or Breast) is preferred. Strong academic background and willingness to hold an academic appointment at Weill Cornell Medical College. Salary Salary range: $260,000 to $420,000. This compensation range does not include benefits or incentive payments based on quality measures and productivity.
