Behavioral Health Clinician III

San Luis Valley Health in Alamosa, Colorado is seeking a highly motivated full-time Behavioral Health Clinician III to provide behavioral health therapy services. The provider will work closely with medical team to support patient outcomes, through screening, brief intervention, and counseling services. A successful candidate will have a strong desire to work with a medical team, provide consultation and expertise on behavioral interventions, and enjoy a fast-paced setting, implementing cutting-edge interventions. Position offers continuing education and competitive salary and benefits.

What You Need for Clinician III:

• Must be licensed in the State of Colorado.
• Master's degree.
• 2 years' experience post-licensure preferred.
• Experience working within medical setting preferred.
• Must be credentialed or eligible to participate in State and Federal healthcare programs and private insurances.
• Must have current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of acute and chronic care protocols and in the delivery of behavioral health care.
• Knowledge of how to assess patient health.
• Knowledge of health promotion principles, techniques and patient learning measurements.

Job Responsibilities of Clinician III:

• Provide direct therapeutic care.
• Completes evaluations with variety of diagnostic tools, following best practices
• Monitors effective therapy.
• Provide base case management support regarding health and mental health needs.
• Provides acute and chronic care according to behavioral health principles and practices.
