RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Patient ratio of 1:5 (up to 6 patients on nights)
• Minimum 3 weekends required in 6-week period
• Maximum 5 days of requested time off allowed
• Possibility of being placed on call and floated depending on unit/hospital needs
• Call-in expectation: If calling in for a shift, must pick up another shift to make up for the absence
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS (PALS required before start date)
• 1 year of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Med/Surg experience preferred, telemetry experience REQUIRED
• Must be comfortable with pediatric population as unit admits pediatrics
• Professional scrubs required (any color)
• Charting system: Meditech
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• RNs responsible for primary nursing, vitals, and phlebotomy
• Must communicate with techs throughout shift for assistance
• Complete up to 8 hours of modules within 1 week of signing
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed, must work 1 of 3 holidays if RTO during holiday period

Facility:

This 78-bed short-term acute care facility provides comprehensive medical and surgical services to the community. The facility features a 26-bed med/surg telemetry unit with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The hospital treats a diverse patient population from pediatrics to geriatrics, handling conditions ranging from chest pain and CHF to post-surgical care and pediatric observation cases.
