We are currently seeking a caring and energetic Infant/Toddler Classroom Teacher to join our dedicated early education team at our Bellingham child care centre. In this role you will guide children ages 12 months to 2 years through daily routines, hands‑on learning experiences and an age‑appropriate curriculum designed to support social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth. You’ll thrive in this role if you have: EEC Infant Toddler Certification, CDA or equivalent degree and experience required Daycare experience in a centre‑based or private school setting Patience, positive energy and a love for helping young children meet and exceed their developmental goals Some requirements of the role include: Flexibility to work an 8‑hour shift within the operating hours of the school, including opening and closing shifts Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the children Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand up to 90 % of the workday Attentiveness, strong time management and a team‑focused mindset As a Toddler Teacher, you will be responsible for: Collaborating with your co‑teacher to prepare curriculum, lesson plans, materials and monthly newsletters Keeping parents informed by posting parent information on the Class Dojo app and classroom boards Providing a safe environment by maintaining an orderly, clean and appealing classroom Encouraging children’s participation through age‑appropriate interactive activities Maintaining cleanliness of the classroom: routine opening/closing, wiping down toys, cleaning tables, vacuuming, sanitising, bathroom cleaning, emptying trash and overall preparation for the next day Engaging with students in free play, supervising outdoor time, assisting with bathroom needs (including toilet training and diapering), snack and meal assistance, naptime assistance, etc. Adhering to the daily classroom schedule while assisting teachers Tracking children’s progress and completing assessments Maintaining your EEC required professional development hours and PQ registry Attending monthly staff meetings Creating a fun and safe learning environment for your students Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students and parents What Magical Beginnings offers you: Paid sick time 13 paid holidays*, plus a guaranteed paid week‑long winter break Paid snow days and vacation time* Medical, dental and vision insurance* Long‑term disability Company‑paid life insurance with additional voluntary coverage Parental leave Child care discount Weekly pay and direct deposit Referral and enrolment bonuses Classroom tablets A budget for classroom supplies Paid classroom planning time Free coffee and tea Teachers’ lounge and break room Mentor programme Teacher appreciation events Team building activities Holiday parties and seasonal events School community outreach projects *Available to full‑time employees only $18 - $24 an hour Magical Beginnings is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and strives to be a workforce that reflects the communities we serve.
