Registered Nurse - Rehabilitation

Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specialized in Rehabilitation to provide exceptional patient care. The role involves coordinating interdisciplinary efforts, educating patients and families, and ensuring safety and quality improvement in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process, evidence-based practices, and organizational standards.
• Assess and evaluate patient needs, prioritizing care tasks and providing appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and caregivers on health promotion, disease prevention, and post-discharge care needs.
• Demonstrate effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to enhance the care experience.
• Perform charge nurse duties, manage supplies and staffing, and document care activities accurately in compliance with standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NYS RN license with BLS certification.
• Possess at least 2 years of RN experience in rehabilitation and mechanical ventilation.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; travel experience preferred for travel roles.
• Be proficient with electronic health record systems, preferably EPIC.
• Possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred); associate degree considered with relevant experience or ongoing BSN studies.
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills in safety, quality improvement, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
