Job Summary Travel Nurse RN OR – Operating Room for Springfield, Illinois. Position Details Specialty: OR – Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 05/26/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 per week (10 hour shifts) Shift: 10 hours, days (4x10s – 06:45‑17:15 or 13:00‑22:00) Employment Type: Travel Rooms: 23 operating rooms On‑call: 1 per week Floats within scope: Rarely happens Block schedule: No Locals accepted: No – must live at least 50 miles from facility License: Active Illinois RN license or in application process On‑call review: All time off must be reviewed and approved by manager Scope: Work with all service lines except CV; general OR and trauma experience required; Cerner preferred Experience & Qualifications Minimum 3 years’ experience in OR nursing Level I trauma experience required General surgery experience (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic assisted procedures, mastectomy, thyroidectomy, Whipple) Orthopedic experience (arthroscopy, carpal tunnel release, fracture reductions, etc.) Neurology case skills (cervical fusion, craniotomy, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion) Plastic surgery case skills (free flap, microvascular) Transplant skills (organ donation) Urology skills (cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy) Trauma skills (amputations, gunshot/stab injuries, multiple injury vehicle accidents) Emergency management (code response, fire safety, latex allergy, malignant hyperthermia) Equipment & instrumentation (electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources/cords, Hana tables) Professional knowledge (blood product administration, infection control, radiation safety, specimen handling, universal protocol, urinary bladder catheterization) Certifications: BLS required, CNOR preferred Weekend required: 1 per month Bariatric case experience: laparoscopic assisted cases Compensation & Benefits Pay based on 10‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) Tax‑free stipend (amount to be determined) 401(k) retirement plan Weekly pay Guaranteed hours Holiday pay Referral bonus #J-18808-Ljbffr Utilicom
