Subject Matter Expert, Washington

Providing oversight for first-of-a-kind large nuclear fluid pumps, the long-term contract Subject Matter Expert, Rotating Machinery will work remotely to manage design, testing, and manufacturing processes while ensuring compliance with applicable design codes and standards. Key responsibilities Oversee the design, testing, and manufacturing of large nuclear fluid pumps Review supplier deliverables and maintain specifications necessary for pump design Lead the preparation and coordination of complete design packages, including calculations and drawings Required qualifications B.S. in Mechanical or related discipline and 15+ years of mechanical systems experience Experience with large vertical pump design and full hardware lifecycle Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in fluid and structural analysis Demonstrated ability to coordinate and lead a design team with minimal direction Experience in high temperature and multi-discipline integration, particularly in nuclear handling process systems
