Opportunity Highlights
- Full-time, hospital-employed position
- Monday-Friday schedule
- Inpatient geriatric psychiatry setting serving adults age 50+
- Work closely with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary care team
- Emphasis on integrated medical and behavioral health care
- Provide comprehensive medical and psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for geriatric inpatients
- Conduct daily rounds and monitor patient progress
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and manage medications
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, nursing staff, social workers, and therapists to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and ongoing care needs
- Participate in interdisciplinary case reviews and quality improvement initiatives
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner in the State of New York
- Dual certification required: FNP and PMHNP
- Experience in psychiatric and/or geriatric care preferred; strong new graduates considered
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
- $125,000-$135,000 annual salary , commensurate with experience
