Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for Med Surg patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications and therapies, and document patient responses.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team; participate in discharge planning and patient education.
- Maintain patient safety and quality metrics, perform accurate clinical assessments, and escalate changes in condition as needed.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record in a timely and compliant manner.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN)
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts on a 36-hour-per-week Med Surg unit
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment lasting 8 weeks
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital setting
