POSITION: Bus Driver

DESCRIPTION:
Hinckley-Big Rock CUSD #429 is seeking regular route and substitute school bus drivers. Responsibilities may include substituting on regular and special education school routes, filling in on athletic event trips, and other driving duties as needed. One long-term sub route is currently available for a qualified driver and at least one route will be available for the 2026-2027 school year. The Hinckley-Big Rock School District will train a qualified applicant who does not currently possess a license to drive a school bus.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be 21 years of age or older.
2. Have a valid and current Illinois driver's license or school bus driver's license/endorsement.
3. Possess a valid driver's license for 3 years immediately prior to the date of your application, which has not been revoked, suspended, canceled or disqualified.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate or equivalent and demonstrated skill in reading, writing and communication. Previous driving experience is preferred.

STARTING SALARY: $24.50 per hour for regular routes with final rate based on relevant experience and qualifications
