Production Manager

North Kingstown, Rhode Island, United States We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in production management, exceptional team leadership skills, and a solid understanding of manufacturing best practices. The Production Manager will oversee a large workforce and drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, efficient resource management, and effective leadership. Responsibilities include but are not to be limited to: Lead and manage daily production operations across multiple shifts Supervise a team of 6+ Production Supervisors and a total workforce exceeding 90 employees Monitor KPIs, implement corrective actions, and ensure production goals are met or exceeded Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, quality, and safety Collaborate cross-functionally with departments including engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, quality standards, and company policies Maintain and improve workflow processes, capacity planning, and labor utilization Train, coach, and develop supervisory staff to build a strong and capable leadership pipeline Compensation: Pay will be offered based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, and certifications. Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field (required) Minimum 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing management role Proven experience managing a team of 5+ production supervisors and a total workforce of 75+ employees Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to drive results, improve processes, and foster a high-performance culture Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus If you're a dynamic and experienced production leader ready to take on a high-impact role, we want to hear from you.
