Job Description Fuel is one of the most vital components of the Army National Guard. It keeps Soldiers pushing onward, and as a Petroleum Supply Specialist, you’ll ensure they never run out by handling, storing, and shipping petroleum-based products such as oil, fuel, and compressed gas. Key Responsibilities Supervise reception, storage, and shipping of bulk or packaged petroleum products. Operate specialized pumping equipment to load trucks, ships, trains, and aircraft. Select and submit samples of petroleum-based products for testing. Perform petroleum and water accounting activities. Test petroleum samples for contamination. Repair specialized equipment and maintain safety procedures and storage guidelines. Supervise and train other Soldiers, assign duties and spot‑check work quality, and ensure safety procedures are followed as advanced duties increase. Job Duties Receive and stock bulk and packaged products. Issue and dispense bulk fuels and water from storage and distribution facilities to using units. Skills You’ll Learn Operating airplane refueling systems and equipment. Planning and scheduling petroleum transport. Testing oil and fuels.
