ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a School Psychologist for a high school in Oxford, CT. This contract opportunity is ideal for a compassionate and experienced professional who enjoys working directly with students while providing both counseling services and comprehensive evaluations .

The school is looking for someone who can start as soon as possible and is open to considering qualified candidates interested in a hybrid schedule .

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based psychological services to high school students
• Manage a counseling caseload of approximately 10 students on a weekly or biweekly basis
• Conduct and complete approximately 28 student evaluations throughout the school year
• Assess students’ academic, behavioral, social, and emotional needs
• Provide appropriate recommendations and interventions based on evaluation results
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and other members of the student support team
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute psychological expertise to student programming
• Maintain accurate evaluation and student records
• Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development

Qualifications

• Valid Connecticut School Psychologist certification/license
• Previous school-based experience preferred
• Experience conducting student evaluations
• Counseling experience, particularly with high school students, preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Reliable, organized, and comfortable working independently
