Materials Supervisor

Job TitleSupervise the execution of material purchasing, material planning, production planning, inventory control, shipping/receiving and stores functions within Resideo. You will operate within the existing material control systems and process and provide guidance to direct reports on clearly defined objectives. You will manage the team to meet the customers' needs in terms of delivery, inventory, cost, and quality. You will build up team capability and lead continuous improvements. Keep Resideo's production lines moving by ensuring materials are well scheduled, evaluated and accurately delivered on time, every time. Continuously improve material management processes to drive better business results. Empower team members to achieve clients' objectives by hiring the right people, developing, coaching, and retaining top talent.Job Duties:Lead team to meet metricsDevelop and optimize material management proceduresImprove Resideo operating system maturityHealth, safety, and environment complianceManage facility supply requirementsEngage in new production introduction (NPI) activitiesManage compliance in adherence to the business excellence requirements of the organizationAnnual cost and target reductionCoach and develop team to consistently attain any metricsFacilitate and direct associate training modules upon hireComplete time keeping for the teamResponsible for the application of appropriate corrective action for performance, attendance, and safety protocolsResponsibilities may require overtime on a daily basis or on weekends based off work volume requirementsYou Must Have:5+ years of experience in supervisory role5+ years of experience in a shipping/distribution center setting8+ years of experience working with WMS systems and/or Microsoft ExcelMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorshipWe Value:Experience working with Oracle/ADP for timekeeping purposesDistribution experience within a retail customer centric organizationAbility to motivate team members and drive resultsAbility to lead/drive change, and influence othersKnowledge in Sigma or lean managementExperience in materials management
