Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois is seeking an enthusiastic and community-minded Community Outreach Coordinator to deliver engaging outreach programs in schools and community settings, helping ensure all girls have access to the leadership, life skills, and confidence-building opportunities offered through Girl Scouts.

Compensation: $15.00 per hour

Essential Responsibilities 

• Facilitate and coordinate Girl Scout outreach programs for K-12 students in schools and community-based settings.
• Deliver engaging, age-appropriate curriculum while maintaining program quality and consistency.
• Expand Girl Scout outreach to underserved and underrepresented communities.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with school personnel, community partners, and outreach sites.
• Ensure compliance with grant requirements, funding expectations, and organizational policies.
• Complete required reports, attendance records, and program documentation accurately and on time.
• Support department and council goals related to membership growth and community engagement.
• Represent Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois professionally at all times.
• Promote the Girl Scout mission and values through all interactions.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; all educational backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
• Experience facilitating programs, teaching, training, youth development, or community outreach preferred.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. 
• Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with community partners and internal teams.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of vehicle insurance.
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying seasonal weather conditions.
