Adjunct English

BCCC invites qualified candidates to apply for our part‑time faculty position to teach in‑person English (composition) and/or Developmental English classes for the upcoming semesters. Part‑time appointments are made on a semester‑by‑semester (as needed) basis. Overview of Position: Summary of responsibilities Teach assigned courses, which may include day, night, or weekend courses. Establish and promote an effective learning environment that maximizes student learning. Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner. Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines. Meet with and advise students either before or after class or by appointment, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods. Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required. Maintain levels of professional knowledge and expertise. Fulfill responsibilities for other reasonable, related duties as assigned. Qualifications Master's Degree in English, Literature, Composition, or Rhetoric. Two years of college teaching experience. Experience teaching in a Community College and/or collegiate teaching experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
