Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating professional nursing care for surgical patients. This role requires specialized care, treatment, and the ability to collaborate with various healthcare team members.

Job Details

• Shift: Mid 4x10-Hour (13:00 - 23:30)
• On Call: As Needed
• Weekend Requirements: Every Other Weekend

Qualifications

• Licensure: Valid California RN License required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS required
• Experience:
  
  
  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
  • 1 year of travel experience preferred
  • Charge experience is a plus
• Charting System: Experience with Epic is required

Specialized Skills

Candidates should be skilled in a variety of surgical procedures, including but not limited to:

• Abdominal/ Vaginal Hysterectomy
• Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
• Laparoscopic Procedures
• Cystectomy
• Arthroscopy
• Trauma Surgery

Work Environment

You will be part of an interdisciplinary team that includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and more. The unit will support patients primarily in adult and geriatric age groups.

Responsibilities

As an OR RN, your duties will include:

• Providing specialized care and treatment for surgical patients
• Supervising ancillary nursing personnel
• Scrubbing or circulating during surgical cases
• Maintaining AORN standards of nursing practice
• Handling emergency and crisis situations

Additional Information

This position may be subject to varying unpredictable situations and involves high exposure to bodily fluids. You will also be required to participate in continuing education and maintain all necessary certifications.

Location: Candidate must be located in or willing to commute to the city, CA.
