Autonomously performs pain management assessments of all patients. Functions as part of a multi-disciplinary pain management team, collaborating with Anesthesiologists, NPs/PAs, RNs, Physical Therapists, psychophysiologist and other pain management personnel in safely assessing and treating the patient.**Education/Experience:***Advanced Practice Registered Nurses* • Master’s Degree in Nursing as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. • Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience or related specialized area strongly preferred.*Physician Assistants* • Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies strongly preferred • Minimum of two years Pediatric primary/specialty or acute care setting experience OR 2 years' experience in related allied health field (i.e. family practice setting with heavy component of pediatric patients) strongly preferred.**Certification/Licensure:***Advanced Practice Registered Nurses* • Current Texas professional registered nurse license • Current Texas professional advance practice registered nurse license • Recognition from the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners as an Advanced Practice Nurse • Certification as Pediatric or Family Practice Nurse Practitioner • Current Basic Life Support (CPR) required • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred\**Physician Assistants* • Current Texas professional physician assistant license • Recognition from the Texas State Medical Board as a Physician Assistant. • Certification as a Physician Assistant PA-C required. • Current Basic Life Support (CPR) required • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred\***\* PALS certification is required when assigned to Anesthesiology, Care Team, Complex Care, Fostering Health, H/O, Nephrology, and Neurology departments.**#CCPN #LI-RV1**About Cook Children’s:**Our not-for-profit organization is comprised of a flagship medical center in Fort Worth, Texas, a new medical center in Prosper, Texas, a physician network, home health company, surgery centers, health plan, health services, and health foundation.
