ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team. This position is within a cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) with a focus on delivering high-quality care to our patients.

Unit Information

Unit Specifics:

• Number of Beds: 10
• Patient Ratios: 2:1
• Unit Staffing: Total Care Support with availability of unit secretaries and technicians
• Type of Equipment: Alaris IV Pump, GE Bedside Monitors, IABP, Impella
• Documentation System: Meditech

Scheduling Requirements

• Minimum of 3 shifts per week
• 3 weekend shifts within a 4-week schedule

Floating Policy

Floating to Medical ICU and Floor Units may be required.

Patient Experience

We maintain high standards for patient experience, which are essential for our success.

Qualifications

Requested Skill Set:

• Experience in ICU; CVICU experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience for night shift is highly desirable

Essential Skills:

• Telemetry
• Administration of Pressors and Positive Inotropes
• Pacemaker management
• Chest Tube procedures
• Cath/EP Lab recovery
• Pericardial drain management
• Frequent site and vital sign assessments

Advanced Skills Required:

• Open heart procedures
• ECMO cannulation

Certifications Required

ACLS and BLS certification are mandatory for this position.

Dress Code

Royal blue scrubs are required as part of the professional attire.
