About the Role:
Banton Elevator LLC is looking for a skilled Elevator Mechanic to join our team in the tri-state area! This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of elevator systems, keeping buildings moving safely and efficiently. If you're a hands-on professional who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair elevator and lift systems in residential and commercial buildings
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on hydraulic and traction elevator systems
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions and implement effective repairs
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
Ensure all work complies with NYC elevator codes, safety regulations, and ASME A17.1 standards
Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns in a timely manner
Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work performed
Requirements:
Valid NYC Elevator Mechanic License
Experience in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of elevator systems
Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
OSHA Card required
Clean Driver's License
Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Monday through Friday position (From 8:00 am to 4:30 pm), and overtime hours are required weekly
