The Certified Pharmacy Technician will support licensed pharmacists by accurately processing prescriptions, preparing medications, labeling, and packaging according to established protocols and regulations. Daily responsibilities include receiving and entering prescription information, managing inventory levels, restocking shelves, and monitoring medication expiration dates. The role also involves providing courteous customer service, answering questions within scope, coordinating with healthcare providers, and assisting in resolving insurance and billing issues. The technician will follow all safety, privacy, and regulatory guidelines while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.QualificationsDemonstrated experience working with prescriptions and medication processing, with strong attention to accuracy and regulatory compliance.Knowledge of pharmacy operations and workflows, including collaboration with pharmacists and familiarity with common pharmacy practices.Strong customer service skills, including clear communication, professionalism, and the ability to assist patients respectfully and effectively.Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (e.G., PTCB or equivalent) and any state-required registration or licensure for New Mexico.Basic computer and prescription management system skills, with the ability to learn new software as needed.Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and accuracy.High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in a retail or clinical pharmacy is preferred.Must be bilingual.
